| Robert, One of the problems with low profiles tires is poorly maintained roads, road contruction, curbs, etc..... Several tire manufacturers are adding a protective lip to tires to protect the rim lip. But an even bigger problem: light weight wheels!! Some wheels are constructed with such light weight materials that they cannot take what the road will bear inf ornt of you. Slerve to avoid if you can or buy a better quality rim. I thought Enkie made quality, but its also the process used to make the wheel that counts. Check out this website for wheel manufacturing processes: [ http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/techpage.jsp?techid=90 ] Many different processes to make a wheel, some are better than others. For the record I'm not saying go with a heavier wheel, but that not all wheels are made the same. I've seen light weight wheels take a beating and others could not. You should also look into having the wheel repaired, call a tire/wheel shop, if it can be repaired safely, then decide to repair and keep em rolling or sell them on eBay. Wild BillZx
